UPDATE: Swoosh!
I got my shoe from Nike!
Remember when I told you about the one-shoe pile program?
The one that Nike has, where you call them and request a shoe, and they presumably send you a new one for free?
Well, it’s real, and it’s spectacular!
I got my shoe from Nike on Saturday. It’s a running shoe, which suits my new personality as a runner. I told you I was a runner, right?
I got a black Pegasus Air Zoom wth a squishy, bouncy bottom. (Please, do not comment on my squishy, bouny bottom…)
Wanna see?
My shoe. Gaze upon it.
Look, I know I’m irrationally excited for a single shoe, but I absolutely love that this big company came through. It gives me some faith in humanity.
I can also tell you that Alfredo, from the Nike Elite Servies Team, was super awesome to me from the very beginning, and was the very first person I got on the phone.
Now, once again, I don’t know if it was an effort for them, but they followed through, and I had one point of contact through the experience.
This is the sort of thing that fosters brand loyalty, and, obviously, they know that. But they didn’t have to, and I really appreciate it.

As always, if you have it in you, please give a thought to donating time or money to Hospice Austin. They do amazing work for people who are going through the hardest thing a person can face.
